It’s been a month since the last update – that means I only have 3 more months to the big deadline. Concerning.
But not too big of a worry, because despite getting old and grey, I have still been able to put down my crumpets, kick off the slippers, peel my rapidly aging, crepe paper body out of my armchair and complete the following tasks from my original list:
Item 2 – Learn one song on guitar
I can now play THREE songs right through on guitar *takes a bow* – the possibilities are endless, smashing that target.
Song 1: Zombie (The Cranberries)
Song 2: Come September (Natalie Imbruglia)
Song 3: Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps (Doris Day)
Item 4 – Prepare a 3 course meal
3 course meal served, and very well received… TWICE
Starter: Rocket and watermelon salad Main: Salmon w courgette spaghetti in pesto & pomegranate Dessert: Double Choc Brownies
Starter: Bacon wrapped asparagus Main: Chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce… wish I could remember what else was on that plate Dessert: Brie and cranberry bites
Item 7 – Watch 30 classic films
Latest classic films to add to my list:
- Doctor Zhivago
- Full Metal Jacket
- Raging Bull
- The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
- Django Unchained
- Pride and Prejudice
Item 19 – Attend a gig of a world famous band
This time next week I will be flying home from Dublin, having seen, heard, worshipped *drum roll please* AEROSMITH on their massive farewell tour! Cannot even contain myself. I am also seeing COLDPLAY next month! I’m killing it with the big name bands item!
Item 20 – Go fully manual with my SLR
Auto is a thing of the past I am in love with photography
Item 21 – Make my own fresh pasta
I made a beautiful fresh Tagliatelle pasta this week, with parsley in the pasta and a bacon and mushroom carbonara sauce. I should add, we don’t have a pasta roller so I did this by hand – “perfezionare!”
Item 28 – Make something impressive from origami
I made an origami dragon this week, he’s ace.
